Software Engineers

1 x Device Engineer and 1 x Web Developer
As members of the Software Engineering Team, you will:
- develop, implement and improve the software then runs our products and cloud platforms.
- help turn product concepts into market leading products
- work closely with the R&D and Hardware Engineering Teams to create products that seamlessly combine hardware and software.
The Skills and Experience
- · a degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other technical discipline, plus solid experience as a Software Engineer.
- · excellent knowledge of the software development cycle and delivering solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- · proven competence in developing desktop software with C#, WPF, and Microsoft .NET.
- · previously developed software using the MVVM design pattern.
- · experience with a range of software languages and tools, including C and C++.
- · experience developing and managing APIs for data transmission.
- · experience using Git for source code management.
- · willingness to learn new technologies and take pride in how fast one can develop software.
- · a strong grasp of mathematics and the confidence to apply it.

The Offer
£40k - £50k per annum, dependent upon the role and your level of experience.

Graduate Engineer
Then join us as we build something great and revolutionise the eye care industry.
You will be joining the hardware engineering team in a critical role that will be involved in the assembly and production of our ground-breaking ophthalmic equipment. Using state of the art technologies such as rapid prototyping and machining, you will aid the team in our endeavour to revolutionise the eyecare industry.
The Role
- •Assembling complex medical devices by following manufacturing procedures.
- •Using state of the art rapid prototyping equipment to produce custom parts to support the development team.
- •Designing and developing state of the art medical ophthalmic products from concept to production.
- •Investigating and testing ideas to improve existing systems and solve problems.
- •Life cycle support such as recalibrating devices and keeping them up to spec.
- •Providing technical support to customers and employees.
- •Meeting performance targets and adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- •Working closely with the team to continuously improve processes.
The Skills and Experience
- •Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
- •Practical and hands on skills.
- •Technical skills.
- •Strong organisational skills.
- •Ability to follow processes.
- •Ability to work independently
.Experience in the following would be advantageous, but is not essential:
- •CAD design experience.
- •Previous experience in rapid prototyping (3D printers etc.).
- •Previous assembly experience.
- •The ability to read and create engineering drawings.
- •Open to learning and developing new skills.
