Aethiea Remote:Assist™ Technology

Aetheia remote examination
Aetheia also allows for fully remote control, in real-time, with the clinician and patient connected via a video conferencing platform.
This allows for a full anterior ocular examination, based on the findings seen after reviewing images and videos sent with the local technician using Auto:Assist. Here is a brief video showing a synchronous examination.
Aetheia Remote:Assist
Remote: Assist allows clinicians to select a view or pre-set technique from a drop down menu in real-time. From a gross ocular exam, to a corneal sweep, to assessment of the anterior chamber. The device sets up the lighting, magnifications and angles, reducing clinician time adjust settings, whilst producing consistent and repeatable imaging from initial consultation to follow up appointments. Images and videos are automatically saved to ensure robust record keeping.

Aetheia Device Variants Explained
There are two variations of the Aetheia digital slit lamp;
- Aetheia:Auto
- Aetheia:Remote
Aetheia:Auto
Only run locally by a technician using Auto-Assist™ technology to take images for asynchronous viewing or can be manually controlled locally by a clinician for local live viewing.
Aetheia:Remote
Everything included with Aetheia:Auto plus controlled remotely by a clinician for live synchronous viewing. Remote control includes full manual control or via automated steps and sequences with Remote-Assist™ technology.
Auto-Optometry™ by Eyoto
Auto-Optometry™ is the suite of automated features released by Eyoto for the Aetheia platform to improve efficiency, consistency, and streamline workflows for all tele-optometry implementations.
Included in Auto-Optometry™ are three new technologies:
- Full Automation
Completely autonomous examinations initiated with the click of a button. Fully automated exams can be launched locally only on Aetheia:Auto, and locally or remotely with Aetheia:Remote. - Auto-Assist™
Auto-Assist™ provides guided examinations where local technicians are walked through complete eye examinations step-by-step with Aetheia giving instructions and sample images at each step, explaining anything the technician needs to do before moving to the next step. - Remote-Assist™
Remote-Assist™ allows clinicians to have predefined steps they can follow to complete an examination, which they can run at any time. At each step they can take control to review the live feed, before continuing to the next step.
Aetheia Workflow Integration

Used locally by technicians with Auto-Assist™ for asynchronous exams, or by clinicians controlled manually as they would a standard slit lamp. - Aetheia:Remote:
The same local options as Aetheia:Auto with offering remote clinician control with live video feed using automated, manual, or hybrid control. - Local Workflow:
Technician initiates exam, uses Auto-Assist™ guided steps to complete the exam, clinician reviews images asynchronously. - Remote workflow:
Clinician follows predefined steps, reviews live feed, takes images and videos if need, and completes and controls exam remotely.
